5y trend
Rolling 10y: worst, average and best return across all 10-year windows in the fund's history. Younger funds (e.g. VWCE) collapse to a single value because they don't have 10 years of history yet.
Volatility: annualized standard deviation of daily log returns (× √252).
Max drawdown: largest peak-to-trough decline in the fund's history. Useful for sizing how deep things can go in bad periods.

Compare with a deposit

Quick estimate: how each selected ETF (realistic scenario, rolling 10-year average CAGR minus TER) compares to a fixed deposit over the same horizon. The default deposit rate is the highest regular 12-month rate in our data; you can override it.

Assumptions: ETF compounds at its annual CAGR; deposit compounds at the chosen rate. Taxes are not modeled. ETF returns are not guaranteed.

Notes and limitations

  • ETF returns are not guaranteed; the value of an investment may also fall. The figures are based on historical data, which doesn't predict future performance.
  • CAGR is computed from closes in the listing currency. Different share classes / listings of the same fund may produce different numbers due to currency effects.
  • TER is the fund's annual cost and is already reflected in the price movement; we deduct it again in our scenario simulator for conservatism.
  • Tax treatment (capital gains, dividends) depends on the product and your circumstances and is not modeled in this comparison.
